CIRCA 1750,ORNATE FLORAL FRENCH BROCADE SILK ROBE.A very beautiful ivory taffeta silk brocade robe a la Francaise with floral swags and polychrome floral sprays.The robe consists of a sacque back open robe,petticoat and stomacher trimmed with furbelows and a wired silk and net fringe.The bodice has sleeves with double fan cuffs and a inner linen lining.There is a stomacher unstiffened and edged in a fancy cord at the top of stomacher.In mainly very good condition, but there are some splits and stains and front trim on bodice needs reattaching.
