CIRCA 19THC. EXQUISITE BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE LACE PARASOL COVER W/HERALDIC COAT OF ARMS. Beautiful design and superb workmanship on this fine Brussels Point de Gaze lace parasol cover.There are two shaped vignettes with a heraldic coat of arms with images of gryphons,eagles and lion .There is a crown and a pavilion and raised scrolled leaves on the edges.On both sides there are fine scripted monograms and throughout the rest of the parasol there are numerous roses,bows, tendrils, lilies and scrollwork with scattered Point De Esprit in the design.Most of the roses have three dimensional raised petals and the leaves also have this raised three dimensional work.Measuring apprx.22" A few scattered tiny openings, otherwise very good condition.
