LUMINOUS 19THC.CREAM SILK EMBROIDERED SHAWL W/ROSES. Circa late 19THC. a large beautiful Canton silk embroidered shawl with a opulent design of large scales roses. The shawl is almost entirely filled with embroidered roses, flowers and leaves.This is one of the earlier piano shawls with the very best of workmanship. Measuring apprx.65-66" with additional Macrame edging of 24-25".In very good strong condition, a few age spots. The shawl is quite amazing, almost every bit of silk has embroidery on it.It is gorgeous! (Item #AS52)
