CIRCA 18-19THC.SWISS NEUCHATEL BOBBIN LACE SHAWL.Circa late 18TH-early 19THC. a very fine bobbin lace shawl with ornate design , fine thread and excellent workmanship.There are two opinions, that this is Swiss Neuchatel or Chantilly lace. The facts are that is is a rare shawl , beautiful, handmade bobbin lace,and has been made with the lightest thread .Measuring apprx.98" by 20-21" wide. A few natural age related flaws, overall in very good condition. (Item #AL314)
