ORNATE 19THC. AYRSHIRE CHRISTENING GOWN. Excellent Ayrshire embroidery, extremely fine and precise.. and so quite beautiful!! The bodice is extremely ornate and fine with tiny wings on each side of bodice and pretty capped sleeves with embroidery.The skirt has wide floral and vine design with fine Needlepoint fillings and a long undulating leaf vine that extends up to the bodice.There are two scalloped wings with embroidery and similar work all around the edge of the gown.Measuring apprx. 43"long,9" across chest.In mainly very good strong condition,there are 3-4 small repairs on back skirt and a couple of pin holes. Overall minor in relation to this gown.(Item #ACC146)
