EXQUISITE 19THC. BRUSSELS POINT DE GAZE FLOUNCE. Superb workmanship and a glorious design on this long Brussels Point De Gaze flounce. Ornate Floral swags with roundels filled with the finest Needlepoint fillings and large three dimensional roses in the design have been worked with such amazing workmanship.This is probably one of the very best Brussels Point De Gaze lace flounces I have come across. The ground itself is hand made and there is scattered fine Point De Esprit scattered throughout the flounce.Measuring apprx. 196" by 10 1/2". 498cm by almost 27cm.In very good condition, a couple of repairs,minor as basically this piece seems unused. It has its original light cream color patina. This flounce is stunning!(Item #AL274)
