EXQUISITE 19THC.AYRSHIRE CHRISTENING GOWN.Absolutely a stunning christening gown! Remarkable workmanship, a true testament to the finest Ayrshire embroidery made in the 19THC. It is almost impossible to imagine how this level of workmanship was accomplished.All the Ayrshire is so precise and the design simply beautiful in very respect.These gowns were worked on the very finest of linen, smooth and silky in texture.In all, a ornate bodice , fine worked sleeves,ornate and elegant skirt panel with wide whitework wings and with scalloped edges worked agin in fine embroidery.Measuring apprx.45" long, 9 12-9 3/4" across chest.In good condition, one small wear area near edge of skirt,needs slight repair, minor.
