CIRCA 1860, EXQUISITE CHANTILLY LACE SHAWL.SUPERB hand made Chantilly lace shawl.Over the years we have sold some very beautiful handmade shawls, I must admit that this is one of the very best I have come across. The shawl excels not only in design,but also in workmanship.The fluidity in design, with large hydrangeas, elegant leaves and florals is enhanced by the very beautiful scrollwork.Quite a work of art! Measuring apprx. 115" by 59-60" at widest part.In wonderful condition,there might be a few minor openings.. have not noticed them.Part of museum deaccession. (Item #AL258)
