SUBERB BRUSSELS MIXED LACE WEDDING VEIL W/PROVENANCE.A magnificent wedding veil that was deaccessioned from a museum and came from the collection of the famous lace dealer and collector, Marian Powys,The veil has a fine hand made toile that is covered with delicate flowers,undulating vines, superb scrollwork with needlepoint fillings,raised work on flowers and leaves, delicate airy ferns ,hydrangeas,lilies and scattered tiny Point De Esprit throughout the veil. The design is quite beautiful with almost a trellis like design formed out of flower swags with a simple decorated cartouche at the top which would have dropped over the bride's face. Measuring apprx.108"by 58" at widest part.In good condition, a few age spots, minor.
