CIRCA 1800'S,FINE AYRSHIRE HANDKERCHIEF W/ROYAL PROVENANCE. Superb workmanship on this wonderful Ayrshire embroidered handkerchief. This handkerchief came from a collection of handkerchiefs that possibly belonged to Queen Amelie of Portugal. Ethereal and fine workmanship , a elegant handkerchief with tiny embroidered flowers and crown in one corner with the initial "A" in one corner with all four corners having floral and drawnwork designs. A ornate flower and vine swag with Needlepoint fillings surround the entire handkerchief.Measuring apprx. 24". In good condition.(Item #ALH40)
