RARE, CIRCA 1805, CHRISTENING GOWN W/MECHLIN LACE. MUSEUM QUALITY!One rarely comes across a gown like this. A wonderful gown that has been in a collection for many many years. This museum quality Empire gown has superb Mechlin lace on the bodice, sleeves, along the wings and even on the edge of the gown. The cost in it's day must have been very high for to have a gown with so much fine Mechlin lace. The finest lawn was used in the construction of this gown which is in keeping with the elegant dress worn in the early 1800's.In mainly very good strong condition, there are a few openings and tiny spots, I consider these minor in relation this rare gown.Buyer may view and return if they desire.
